One strong community, one-of-a-kind support.

Using exercise to treat substance use disorders is not a new idea. But combining it with data is.

The Recovery Gym (TRG) is the Pacific Northwest’s first fitness center dedicated to helping people on the path to recovery for substance use and mental health disorders, and the first of its kind—anywhere—to merge fitness, data and mentorship to do so.

Our rigorous, data-driven approach means we tailor our programming based on real results, not predictions or expectations. We believe the more we understand each member and their journey, the better we can support them individually through each workout, and each day.

It’s a well-known fact that people who face mental health and/or substance use disorders are far more at risk for physical health concerns than the general population.

It’s also a fact that when your mind, body and breath are centered on cleaning that last set or outpacing yesterday’s mile, you’re not thinking about the stresses inherent to recovery. Through exercise, people in recovery find a positive distraction, while developing the focus and discipline required for long-term success in sobriety, fitness and wellness.

Our goal is to make it easier for those ready for the challenge to find access to the people and resources they need to show up, work hard, and uncover their strength from day 1 and beyond.

SHOW UP.

People in recovery work hard. We at TRG are committed to working just as hard, to provide a fun, inviting and inclusive atmosphere that supports individuals throughout their journeys.

AND UNCOVER YOUR STRENGTH.

Recovery is more than just a mission; it’s a lifestyle. The Recovery Gym helps members use physical activity and wellness to rediscover their identities.
“I watched my mom die far too early in sobriety from causes related to poor nutrition and physical health. I am so glad I have TRG to support my own recovery, I sure wish it had been around for her, too.”
